Willie Nelson’s concert film marking his 90th birthday will make its world premiere at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s A&B Amphitheater and Yokouchi Pavilion on June 10.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday for “Long Story Short: Willie Nelson 90,” which features highlights from a two-day concert honoring the 12-time Grammy winner at the Hollywood Bowl in April. Gates for the June 10 event open at 5:30 p.m., with an in-person introduction to the film by Nelson at 7 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Maui Food Bank.
Performers at the concert included Nelson, Keith Richards, Snoop Dogg, George Strait, Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, Neil Young, The Lumineers, Jack Johnson and more.
The film will begin with a limited national theatrical release the following day.
Tickets are $40 and are available only at MauiArts.org. All tickets are general admission, and attendees should bring blankets, mats or low-back beach chairs for seating. There will be limited seating for kupuna and bleachers at the rear of the amphitheater. Outside food and beverages are not allowed but will be available for purchase on-site.
